We were born to be free
But oppressed since childhood
By imposed rules - how to live.
Whole life spent in resistance
To the society’s pressure.
They are scared of us,
We look different and that brings me pleasure.
Let's left 'em in the past
Dressed in leather and heavy boots,
Wind blowing in our long hair,
Ignoring the rules that are for fools,
We follow the instincts of primitive roots.
You can’t control us,
We are not soldiers -
We are wild warriors.
Shave your head
And march in the ranks
Swear your oath - it’s not for us.
Dressed in leather and heavy boots,
Wind blowing in our long hair,
Ignoring the rules that are for fools,
We follow the instincts of primitive roots.
Give your orders to the others,
We do not obey anyone.
I will follow only my brother -
We are bonded by blood.
Pretty much the best Black/Speed Metal I've listened to since I learned about Evil Invaders and Vulture. Everything you'd love to be reminded of about this musical era is there. The influences are what you'd expect too: Motörhead, Venom, Bathory, early Slayer, Celtic Frost; aggressive vocals, tortured guitar solos, pounding drums; everything is fast, clear and still a little grimy, but without reverb cranked up to the max. Amazing band, amazing album. Odiumediae
With this 1ºLP, Subtype Zero jumps in to the ship of 'new wave of Thrash' ready to surff with great riffs and solos that will make you remind some of the most prominent old school metal bands; sometimes closer to Hardcore but not close enough to keep balance during this trip to The Astral Awakening.
If you like: Power Trip, Slayer, The Conjuring, Ifreann, etc. MediZen
The Brazilian metal outfit teaches a lesson in exemplary thrash, delivering palm-mute chugging, dexterous fretwork, and infuriated-but-intelligible vocals on every song Bandcamp Album of the Day Jan 21, 2021
